LOVING GOD
SERVING PEOPLE
FULFILLING DESTINY
TRUTH FOR TODAY
We were born to worship. We were created to worship God. We exist to worship. We live to worship.

What is worship? What does it look like? Worship is reverence, honor, respect, appreciation, deep affection for, and praise to someone. The word in the Bible literally implies "to bow" to the God who is worthy.

We worship with our words and actions. We praise, testify, lift hands, kneel, clap, sing, and dance. Worship also includes obedience; to obey what God tells us.

What amazes me is that so many professing Christians spend little to no time in worshipping God. They don't practice it. They make it a point to do many other things. They make excuses like "I don't need to do all that to be a Christian." They also expect to go to heaven.

What will they do in heaven? In heaven, those that live there worship God throughout eternity. If they don't choose to worship here or they are uncomfortable or ashamed in the here and now, How do they plan to spend eternity doing something they are not used to doing?

They can't. They are only fooling themselves; so I suggest, if this is you, stop making excuses and repent. Change your posture right now and make worshipping God your priority. Make it the most important thing in your life.

God is a spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24
